Announcing Besina at Plant City

New restaurant Besina bring favorite Mexican dishes to Plant City.

Plant City welcomes Besina. The upgraded menu of beloved Mexican dishes is now available for ordering online, through the app, and in person by reservation, walk-in or takeout.

Named for the Spanish words for kiss and kitchen (beso + cocina), Besina offers Mexican-inspired plant-based cuisine crafted with love and intention.

“We have always been more than a bar,” says Plant City creator and co-owner Kim Anderson, “Our focus has always been on exceptional food. Besina will help even more people experience the power of plant-based cuisine and the transformative effect a plant-based lifestyle can have on our health and the health of the planet.”

The reimagined menu will continue to reflect the types of dishes and flavors that people have come to expect. The new chef-crafted menu notably features modern takes on Mexican classics such as tlayuda (pronounced “t’lie-YOU-duh,” rhymes with Bermuda), a Oaxacan dish made from a single crispy tortilla piled with fresh and savory toppings. Besina’s tlayuda will incorporate jackfruit pibil, salsa macha, peppers, and avocado.

“In creating this menu with Matthew Kenney Cuisine, I wanted to bring the textures, dishes, and flavors I love to people I care about,” says Plant City executive chef Luis Jaramillo. “Every dish, absolutely every one, is made with love for the ingredients we craft and the people we serve.”

The most popular dishes that fans have come to love will still be around, but with slight variations and with some additional company. In addition to the crowd favorites like nachos, burrito, and tacos, Besina serves up new twists on classic Mexican comfort foods such as the ever-popular churros and chocolate, served coated in cinnamon sugar.

Besina will be open and available for ordering online, through the app, and in person by reservation, walk-in or takeout starting at 11:30am Friday, October 9th.
